WELCOME HOMEOWNERS
If you are new to The Villas at Zermatt HOA we ask that you complete the New Homeowner Information Sheet and return it to Mountain Resorts Management (lynn@mountainresortsmanagement.com) after purchasing your Villa. The HOA would like to setup your HOA accounts and online portal access immediately upon recording of your property. This will ensure you receive monthly HOA payment notices and information about the HOA.

ANNUAL HOA MEETING
The annual HOA meeting is scheduled for January 15th starting at 10am.
 
There will be one open seat on the Management Committee of The Villas at Zermatt Owners Association (“MC”) to be filled at the upcoming annual meeting of owners scheduled for January 15, 2022.  The seat is currently held by Rodney Gibson and the new term runs until the annual owners meeting scheduled for the third Saturday in January of 2025.
If you are interested in running for this MC seat, please submit a notice of your intent by completing and emailing the intent to run form (Click Here) to HOA@VillasAtZermatt.com.

To be eligible to run for the open MC seat, your notice of intent to run must be received by 5:00 PM MST on December 15, 2021.  You may, if you wish, provide a one-page biographical statement or a link to an on-line bio with your notice of intent.
 
Further information regarding the voting process and the Annual Villas at Zermatt Owners Association Meeting will be forthcoming.
 
AMENITY UPDATE: TENNIS COURTS LOCKS
In an effort to keep the amenities at Zermatt Resort private for only owners & guests usage the resort has installed locks on the tennis courts. On October 14th the locks will be activated. The code for the locks is 850101. As a reminder the tennis courts and resort amenities are for private use by owners and paying guests. Thanks!

HOA COMMITTEES UPDATE
To Villas at Zermatt owners:
To continue Jim Avitable’s work in the development of committees to assist the HOA Management Committee (MC) in its work, Negotiating and Finance Committees will join the Facilities and RSP Committees.  The following is an HOA MC committees update:
  • Facilities Committee.  Lisa Clark (sold her unit) and Bill Bavasi (now on the MC) will be replaced by Heather Poelman and Betsey Delorey.  They will join Byron Wade.  Betsey will serve as the chairperson.
  • RSP Committee.  No new developments here.
  • Negotiating Committee.  This may have recently been referred to as the RUEA Committee.  This committee will consist of only Rodney Gibson (MC) and Kevin Delorey until such time as they want to add to it.  Rodney and Kevin have already met with the Resort and the Suites and have another meeting planned for the beginning of next month.
  • Finance Committee.  Peter Kranenburg has accepted our invitation to chair and develop this committee.  The most immediate need we have for this committee is the arrangement of an insurance audit.

Zermatt Resort Announcement
From the GM: Restaurant Update 7/22/21
 
Hello everyone,
 
I wanted to send a brief update to our outlets at the resort. Like many restaurants in the valley as well as nationwide, we are experiencing an extreme labor shortage. Despite our best efforts to attract new employees, we are still struggling to maintain our staffing levels. Due to these pressures, we have been required to evaluate our current services and business models. With that being said, we have implemented the following changes:
 
-Z's Steak and Chop has now become our three meal a day restaurant. We have launched new menus and hope that this will have a broad appeal to guests and locals.
 
-Wildfire is currently closed. We are adjusting the business model of Wildfire and this requires some remodeling. We hope to have this open for dinner in the next two weeks and will look to expand hours as we bring more people back on. Wildfire will be converting to where guests will order at the front desk, fill their own drinks, and food will be brought to the tables. This is much like a Cafe Rio type system. This will allow us to run with a leaner staff and be able to get more people through the restaurant more quickly. We will start out with a more limited, barbeque menu, but will expand that, again, when we are able to hire more employees.

Resort Operations Update & Facility Temporary Closures
 
Zermatt Resorts operator, Midway Properties Group (MPG), would like to update homeowners regarding some of the major restrictions implemented throughout the State of Utah due to the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) and how it is affecting Zermatt Resort and it's facilities and operations at the current time.
